Bruno de Azevedo is a music producer (engineer, composer, multi-instrumentalist) with a degree from SAE-London and a master's degree from the University of Westminster. His musical career began at the age of 11, when he started learning to play guitar and bass. At the age of 15, he entered EPMA (Escola Profissional de Música de Almada). Still in Portugal, he learned composition with Luis Tinoco, guitar with Rui Luis Pereira (Dudas) and Gonçalo Pereira. During his stay in London (2009/2011) he had the opportunity to work with top professionals such as Bob Katz (mastering guru), Steve Albini (sound engineer for Nirvana), Matt Hyde (producer for major metal bands such as Deftones, Slipknot and Slayer), Kevin Paul (sound engineer with credits in, for example, Depeche Mode, Nick Cave and David Bowie), Stephen Street (music producer with credits in The Smiths, The Cranberries and Blur) or Justin Fraser (renowned Pro Tools instructor and sound designer for Harry Potter, Troy and the BBC, among others). In his professional career, he has experienced various facets such as music programmer, guitar teacher, sound technician for various companies, composer and instrumentalist in various music and dance creations and, since 2016, video maker, with a vast production carried out namely for c.e. m-centro em movimento with whom he has collaborated intensively, annually creating several documentary films that accompany his work with the city (Pedras-Práticas com Pessoas e Lugares), transdisciplinary Experimental Spaces, several meetings and conversations with great professionals such as Steve Paxton, Bragança de Miranda, Maria Filomena Molder, Bifo Berardi, Amador Savater and others, and artists such as Luz da Camara, Coline Gras, Bernardo Bethônico and Isadora Dantas. With regard to his latest work, he highlights, in 2017, the solo album AWAY, and the composition and live performance of the music for Sofia Neuparth's dance solo with Margarida Agostinho “Sopro”. In 2020 he released the single “4U” and in 2022 “Aurora Negra”. Musician and composer for the death metal band “In Kold Blood”, he released “Souless” and “The Serpent Between All Men” in 2023. In 2024, among other works such as Margarida Agostinho's audio book “andar, poisar, pensar”, he created the musical composition and sound design for Sofia Neuparth's play “Qual é o Código?” for Cia. Dançando com a Diferença.
